<\/p>\n

\nThe world is experiencing a crisis right now, unlike any it has seen in decades. The COVID-19 Coronavirus has spread throughout cities, countries, and continents – officially declared by health authorities as a global pandemic. Certainly we are living in perilous times! As good citizens we endeavor to follow practical safety precautions, as we do our part to help the spread of this terrible virus. Sporting events have been shut down, concerts cancelled, and restaurants have been closed in an effort to reduce large gatherings where the virus could more easily spread. Churches all over the world have chosen to live stream their services, and business employees are being allowed to work from home – all in an effort to stay secluded and “self quarantine”. One might ask the question, “Where is God in all of this?” The truth is, He is where He has always been; on heaven’s throne and in control!<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFollowers of Jesus Christ have a confidence and hope that those without God do not understand. We know that the providential hand of God is on our lives, and in times of peril we look to His Word and stand firm on His powerful promises. There are many, but I will encourage you specifically with five.<\/div>\n

\n1. GOD PROMISES A WISE PATH.<\/span><\/b>
\nPsalm 119:104,105<\/span><\/u>  \u201cThrough Your precepts I get understanding … <\/span><\/span>Your word is a lamp for my feet
\nand a light on my path.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nAll throughout scripture there is practical instruction on how to be safe,
\nhappy, and blessed. It is up to us to read His good instruction, then apply it
\nto our lives in order to reap the blessings.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>
\n2. <\/span>GOD PROMISES PROTECTION.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nPsalm 91:1-4<\/span><\/u> \u201c<\/span>The
\none who lives under the protection of the Most High<\/span><\/span> <\/span>dwells
\nin the shadow of the Almighty. <\/sup><\/b>I will say<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>concerning the<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>Lord<\/span><\/span>, who is my refuge and my fortress,<\/span><\/span> <\/span>my God in whom I trust:  <\/span><\/span>He himself will rescue you<\/span><\/span> <\/span>… <\/span><\/span>His faithfulness will be a
\nprotective shield.”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nRegardless of what
\nis happening in our world, God has His hand upon us, helping us each day.<\/span><\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n3. <\/span><\/span>GOD PROMISES PROVISION.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nPhilippians 4:6,19<\/u> “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”<\/span><\/div>\n
\nWhen we are living
\nfor Jesus Christ, we have the assurance that He will provide all of our daily
\nneeds.<\/span><\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n4. GOD PROMISES PURPOSE.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\nIsaiah 46:10<\/span><\/u>  <\/span>\u201c<\/span>I
\ndeclare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done,
\nsaying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nGod has a master
\nplan, accounting for the consequences of mankind\u2019s sin, and Christ\u2019s righteousness,
\nthroughout human history. He is orchestrating His plan toward a final
\nconclusion; <\/span><\/div>\n
\nHis glorious return! <\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
\n5. <\/span>GOD PROMISES PEACE.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nJohn 16:33<\/span><\/u>  <\/span>\u201c<\/span>These things I have spoken
\nto you, that in Me you may have
\npeace. In the world you <\/a>will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nThe Lord gives us the presence and power of His Holy Spirit living in us, providing His “peace that passes all understanding” (Phil 4:7) to comfort, strengthen, and encourage us through any difficulty. Be encouraged today, for God is in control!<\/span><\/div>\n
